Kaleidoscope Pieces... Natasha Slices... Mokume Gane...
Controlled Chaos!
Randomly arranged bits of designs, left-over canes, bold bands of
contrasting colors, are all combined in one log. Pairs of slices yield
mirror-images, similar to making Natasha Beads. In my constant quest to
compose asymmetric balance, these pairs are first positioned into a
rectangle. Then curved cuts are made to create interesting shapes, using
only portions of the original image. The result is open to your
interpretation.
