We are now custom making metal scraper blades
for the Atlas 150 & 180 pasta machines
Atlas Marcato is no longer manufacturing metal scraper blades and our
stocks are exhausted.  This situation has made it difficult, if not impossible,
to use Atlas machines for clay.

To solve this problem we have developed and are now
manufacturing replacement metal blades.

We modify both Atlas 150's & 180's to make the scraper blades removable
to clean off accumulated clay that has been contaminating your work.  No
more need to take your entire machine apart.  No tools required.

You will be able to unscrew a small thumbscrew on each blade, remove it,
wipe it clean with a paper towel, reinsert and continue claying.

We can also modify your Atlas 150 or 180 with our metal blades.

  • Price to modify machines that have old style metal blades:  
    $25 plus shipping.  (Current US Postal Service rate is $9.)
  • Price to modify machines that have plastic tipped blades:   
    $35, plus shipping.   (Current US Postal Service rate is $9.)

(Due to the continually weakening dollar, we anticipate possible future price

To clean your blades:

  1. To prevent
    scratching of the
    rollers, especially
    machines with the
    new aluminum
    rollers), set
    machine to the
    widest setting  
    before removing
    blades.
  2. Place pasta
    machine up-side-
    down.
  3. Unscrew the
    thumbscrew, and
    remove it.
  4. Remove the blade.
  5. Wipe blade with a
    paper towel.  
    Alcohol may be
    used on paper
    towel if needed.
  6. Re-insert blade.  
    Screw on
    thumbscrew.
  7. REPEAT WITH
    SECOND
    SCRAPER BLADE.
Fuer Interessenten in Uebersee:

Diese Modifikation kann eigentlich nur mit einigem Aufwand durchgefuehrt
werden, der Werkzeug und spezielle Kenntnisse voraussetzt.  Leider ist es nicht
sehr praktisch, Nudelmaschinen von Europa nach USA und zurueck zu senden.


Daher koennen wir nur neue, von uns modifizierte, Maschinen anbieten.  


Zahlungsmoeglichkeiten gibt es jetzt durch Paypal, mit Versand durch US Postal
Service Priority International Mail (US $37, dauert ungefaehr 6-10 Tage).
We can also modify the Makins Ultimate Clay Machines to make their scraper blades
removable for easy cleaning.

Because the rollers are Teflon coated, metal blades can not be added to these
machines.  
Price to modify Makins machines: $25 plus shipping.
